Featured game: The Oleander Daemon

The Oleander Daemon is sci-fi Forged in the Dark campaign about a guerrilla military unit left behind enemy lines, tasked with fighting back and cutting off the invader wherever and whenever possible. Using an innovative anti-canon Locks system, players will pass around the soldiers of Tower Section between Missions, exploring their own interpretations of the characters. Think Halo: ODST or Halo: Reach.

An innovative expansion upon ideas originally developed in The Unity of Skovlan, The Oleander Daemon is an independent and full-fledged realization of what a squad-based Forged in the Dark game can do.

Featured Draft: Under Forgotten Stars

Under Forgotten Stars is a solo mapping and journaling game and is the discovering-nature fighting-pirates mutagen-avoiding game of my dreams. That is to say, I’ve been chasing how to put Metroid Prime on the page for almost 25 years. It’s where the “Logbook” in “The Logbook Project” comes from.

Awkwardly for my categorization scheme, the Basic Edition PDF is a Complete draft, and can be entirely played. For being “Basic” it’s still nearly 100 pages and takes over ten hours to play even if you’re just blasting through and not taking space for reflection and journaling.

Learning Pixel Art

Learning Pixel Art is an instructional book teaching the medium of pixel art from the ground up, using deeply explanatory language to teach not just how to use various techniques, but also why they work the way they do. Great for beginners and veterans alike, the book contains a plethora of practice exercises as well!

Cost: $1. Contact me if this is still a barrier, I offer free copies readily.
